Beli is a dense tropical hardwood from the forests of West Africa (Julbernardia pellegriniana). Its pale golden-brown heartwood is marked with distinct dark, zebra-like stripes, so no two slabs ever look alike. This table was made from one trunk, its natural edge left intact, and set on a sculptural steel X-base.

Solid wood carries natural characteristics such as knots, fine cracks and variation in grain and colour. These are part of the timber's character, not flaws.
Wood moves gently with heat and humidity. Keep the table out of long hours of direct sunlight and away from fireplaces.
